The nearby Chiaravalle is known for its Cistercian abbey of Santa Maria in Castagnola: the first news about Chiaravalle dates back to the seventh century a.C. but, being the City founded on the Abbey, the real historical roots must go back to 1172, when they started to build the current Abbey.

Only 10 km far there is Jesi, birthplace of Frederick II of Swabia and perfectly preserved medieval village with its towers and ancient walls, the Pergolesi Theatre, the Art Gallery, the Wine house of Marche Region and the Natural Reserve of Ripa Bianca.

The agritourism Le Terre di Maluk is located about 20 km far from Ancona, where you can visit the harbor with the Arch of Traiano and the Mole Vanvitelliana, the old town centre with the Cathedral of St. Ciriaco, Muse Theatre, the Archaeological Museum, the Museum Omero and the Cardeto Park with the ancient Jewish cemetery.

From Ancona it is easy to reach the beautiful Conero Coastline (40 km from the agritourism): the Bay of Portonovo, the beaches of Numana and Sirolo, boat trips to the rocks of Le due Sorelle, Gabbiani beach and Sassi Neri beach. The Conero mountain is a must for lovers of mountain biking and hiking or simply for a pleasant trip “to the mountain.”

Among the places of interest near the Conero coastline we remind you Recanati (50 km), the birthplace of Giacomo Leopardi and Beniamino Gigli, to which are dedicated homonyms museums, and Loreto (42 km) with the Marian Sanctuary of the Basilica of the Holy House a place of pilgrimage for thousands of followers.

For lovers of medieval towns we also suggest Offagna (23 km), where during the summer there are medieval festivals with a rich program of attractions.

Do not miss the Frasassi Caves in San Vittore di Genga (50 km), a true spectacle of nature, with the nearby Fabriano, where you can visit the Paper Museum and the Art Gallery.
